Coconut oil sinks deep into the skin, moisturizing, conditioning, and softening it. It is used for its beneficial Lauric Acid in high quantities. Lauric acid is a medium chain fatty acid, which is translated into monolaurin in the human or animal body. Monolaurin is the antiviral, antibacterial, and antiprotozoal monoglyceride used by the human or animal to destroy lipid coated viruses, various pathogenic bacteria, and protozoa.
